The story of Lindeallé 14
The villa at Lindeallé 14 was built in 1909, designed by the architect Viggo Norn.
It was originally constructed as the home of the chief doctor at Horsens Hospital, and the house’s rooms and corridors echoed with both a busy medical life and private everyday life.
When the doctor moved out, the villa became a family home until 1946.
In the years that followed, the house was transformed into an outpatient clinic for lung patients, its hallways filled with footsteps, conversations, and daily routines, until it eventually stood empty and began to fade with time.
In 1988, Horsens Ungdomsboliger took over the villa for 1 krone and converted it into eight student units.
The old rooms and corridors, once filled with private lives and hospital routines, now came alive with new sounds and everyday life.
